Our Mission

Conservation Cantley is a non-profit volunteer organization whose mission is the protection of the environment and ecological integrity in Cantley, and to encourage healthy outdoor living in the community.

Goal 1

Cantley Conservation's primary mandate is to acquire and conserve in perpetuity ecologically significant lands in the Municipality of Cantley, with the aim of preserving natural environments and providing public access to them.
To achieve this mandate, we collaborate with individuals, other non-profit organizations, the municipality of Cantley and governments. We use various means to protect natural environments that we are committed to managing over the long term for conservation purposes: acquisition of properties by purchase or donation, and conservation agreements or easements.

Goal 2

Cantley Conservation seeks to better understand the ecological value of Cantley's territory in order to inform its acquisition strategy, public policies and citizen actions aimed at protecting biodiversity.

Goal 3

Conservation Cantley aims to raise awareness, educate, and advises the municipality and the public on environmental protection and conservation.
